Masjid Al Mumineen
In the past 9 years we have paid off a contract to purchase the Masjid Building totaling $172,000.00.
We have acquired the deed to this property with the help of a loan from one of our brothers of $23,000.00. This loan must be paid back by June, 2012 and the current balance is $19,000.00. We also need to remodel this facility to include the following at a cost of $90,000.00
Remodeling Plan
- Expansion of the prayer area
- Remodel the men’s and women’s wudu areas
- Prepare the upper rear area for temporary housing
- Office expansion
Property Across the Street
We have also acquired the property to the East of the Masjid from the city at a cost of $400.00. The community and the neighborhood will use this property for additional parking and a green space that will be utilized.
To do this we must demolish the house on the property at a cost of $11,000.00 and landscape the lot and grade and pave the parking area at a cost of $11,000.00.
Lastly, also need to purchase the building to the West of the Masjid to use as an economic anchor for the community. (Inshallah) The estimated cost of purchase is $60,000.00. We ask that you please support us in raising our Goal of $191,000.
